Training programme on the Large Combustion Plants Directive, June 1-5, 2005, Ireland

The training programme on the implementation of the LCP Directive was held on June 1-5, 2005 in Ireland. The programme focused on links between the LCP and IPPC Directives, the implementation of the LCP Directive in Ireland, best available techniques for LCP installations, the permitting process, the contents of the application, issuance and updates of the permits, and the Waste Incineration Directive. The programme was interactive, consisting of presentations, discussions and site visits to three installations (see agenda).

Training programme participants came from environmental enforcement agencies and inspectorates in Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Romania and Serbia and Montenegro.
