Description: The meeting was chaired by representatives of the EC (DG Environment), Robert Flies and Ladislav Miko. Presentations were made about 2008 activities, in the framework of the GreEnforce Network. The reports were adopted by the participants. Proposals for 2009 activities were made by the Czech Republic (INTERREG IV), Spain (follow-up Natura 2000), Germany (nature protection in urban and suburban areas), Finland, Sweden and the UK. A representative of the EC presented an overview of recent EU activities related to biodiversity and forests, and also described forthcoming activities.
