Second Exchange Programme, February 25-26, 2010, in Zagreb, Croatia

The Second Exchange Programme was jointly organised by the ECENA Secretariat and the Croatian Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction. The Exchange Programme was part of the Multi-annual Work Programme of ECENA for the period 2007 to 2010, under Cluster 1. Financial support was provided by the European Commission CARDS 2005 Regional Programme. The programme took place in Zagreb, Croatia, on February 25-26, 2010.

The programme focused on candidate countries and potential candidates for EU membership, and, following the First Exchange Programme, held in Ohrid, in 2009, the aim was to consolidate the lessons learnt through ECENA and IMPEL, and to discover new collaborative ways in which the beneficiary countries can implement those lessons nationally and regionally. This informal process contributed to the strengthening of the regional approach to environmental law enforcement.

Note to participants: The ECENA Secretariat highly recommends that the outputs of these meetings be more widely disseminated within the countries, especially through trainings and information repositories, like the Ministries' websites.
