EasyTools: risk assessment in inspection planning (1st project group meeting), February 24-25, 2010, Koln - Germany

Event: EasyTools: risk assessment in inspection planning (1st project group meeting)

Date: February 24-25, 2010

Location: Koln - Germany

Description: The EasyTools project was adopted by the IMPEL General Assembly in December 2009 in Stockholm. A key issue of the RMCEI and the guidance book is the prioritisation of environmental inspections. An essential part of this prioritisation is the assessment of the probability of environmental disruptions caused by the IPPC installations under surveillance of the competent authorities. Such kind of risk assessment also plays a key role in inspection planning according to the Seveso II directive and the upcoming Industrial Emissions Directive (IED). The aim of this project is to develop a flexible and user friendly programme for the environmental risk assessment within the planning of (IPPC) inspections as an advanced interactive IT tool from the internet. It is planned for a period of two years: 2010 and 2011. The main product of the project shall be an easy to use risk assessment tool available from the internet. To achieve this goal four project group meetings and a workshop are planned.
