The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia - 20-22 May 2009

The goal of the training was to introduce the State Environmental Inspectors and the State Nature Protection Inspectors to the European acquis in the area of environment and nature and Directives transposed into the national legislation. Directives on IPPC, SEVESO II, VOC, LCP, WASTE Incineration/WASTE Landfill were presented, as well as manner of inspection of industrial installations falling under the scope of the said Directives with check lists and the links between these Directives. In addition, the training included practical experiences in the implementation of the legal provisions concerning environmental and nature protection, especially those concerning industrial pollution prevention and control, prevention of industrial accidents and incidents, volatile organic compounds, waste landfilling and incineration and nature protection, from the inspection supervision performance point of view.
