The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia - April 2010

The Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, in cooperation with the ECENA Secretariat, is going to organise the third ECENA national training on April 22-24, 2010, in the city of Vinica. The training will focus on ECENA, IMPEL and GreEnforce activities, IPA Projects, EIA and SEA procedure in Republic of Macedonia, SEVESO II Directive and dangerous substances, National Parks in FYR of Macedonia, the last changes in environmental legislation in the FYR of Macedonia, and collaboration between central and local environmental inspectors. It will include a site visit to SASA Lead and Zinc Mine, Mak. Kamenica, and discussion of its IPPC Licence.

The training is to be attended by 18 State Environmental Inspectors-SEI, the Director of SEI, the Director of the Administration of Environment (AE) and 2 experts, and 7 Authorised Environmental Inspectors from the Municipalities of Vinica, Mak. Kamenica, Stip, Probistip, Kocani, Pehcevo and Berovo.
